How to use the redaction tool
The redaction tool allows users to redact data automatically, giving you the confidence that you won’t be breaking any form of NDAs or internal policies for data storage before adding your slides.

How to redact all the content in your slides at once
Use case: You only want to keep visuals similair to the inspiration slides
A. With your file open in PowerPoint, go to “Redact active presentation” and select the first option “Replace all content with ###s” and click start.
1. That’s it. Your entire file’s content has been replaced with ####’s.
How to redact specific content from your slides
B. With your file open in PowerPoint, go to “Redact active presentation” and select the second option “Redact selected content” and press start.
1. A new window will open. First you can select which words should not be scanned as sensitive data – Ignore list – (e.g., your company’s name). Your account manager will already have setup a few words to be kept company-wide, but you can always choose to override this.
2. Next, select the words that you would like to redact automatically (e.g., client names, employee names, etc.) and press “continue”.
3. Your file will be scanned for sensitive information, and you can now unselect any words that were found that you might want to keep visible
NOTE: Images cannot be scanned, you will have to redact those manually.
4. Click “Redact selected” to remove the selected sensitive information and download your file.
5. A new file will open, and your selected content will have been redacted.
That’s it! Your slides can now be redacted, and you can feel safe from being responsible for any breach of information.
