I get the add-in error saying 'the add-in cannot be started'

If you try to open SlideHub add-in and get the error saying 'The add-in could not be started. Please restart all Office applications and try again”, this is most likely a cache issue and clearing local cache should solve the problem.


Below is a step-by-step guide on how to solve it:


  1. Close PowerPoint and all the Office applications completely.


  1. Paste the following paths directly into the Windows File Explorer address bar and locate the folders: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef & %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\WebServiceCache


  1. Delete the content of the folders (note: not the folders themselves)


  1. Once cleared, reopen PowerPoint and try the add-in again.
