Solving the issue in which the add-in on Windows crashes / shows blank screen
Users on updated Windows 11, Windows 10, and Microsoft 365 typically use Microsoft Edge to render their add-ins. The Desktop App Web Viewer has likely become corrupted and must be reinstalled.
Repair Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime
On the affected user's computer, open Control Panel (in the Windows Search bar, type Control Panel).
Select Programs.
Select Programs and Features.
in the list of programs, locate Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime.
Right-click over Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime.
Select Change.
On the pop-up, select Repair.
Check if the issue is now resolved. If not, continue to follow the steps below.
If the application “Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime” is not on the list then it can be installed via via: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?cs=2199494592&form=MA13LH
If installer shows an error saying that "Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime" is already installed, you can make it appear in the list by doing the following:
Open Registry Editor as an administrator
Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft EdgeWebView] change the value of SystemComponent to 0.
Now Microsoft EdgeWebView2 Runtime should now show on the list of Programs and the repair option should likely solve the instability.
If repairing Microsoft Edge WebView2 did not resolve the issue, you may need to remove it completed. However, before uninstalling please be aware of the following possible implications:
Some web-based applications using Microsoft EdgeWebView2 may not work as expected.
The component may be reinstalled automatically via Windows standard updates and may need to be removed again.
Consult your IT consultant if you are experiencing any issues after uninstalling.

Select Change or Uninstall and follow the prompts to uninstall the program (if the "uninstall option" does not show - you need to use the powershell command below"

Close all Office modules including PowerPoint and Outlook.
Open Powershell (for information on PowerShell refer to the following Microsoft article What is PowerShell?)
Run the following command on your machine with elevated privileges.
powershell Add-AppxPackage -register -disable c:\windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Win32WebViewHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\AppxManifest.xml
Restart any Office program, PowerPoint for example, and load the SlideHub add-.in
Check if the issue is now resolved. If not, continue to follow the steps below.
