Supported versions of Office / Microsoft 365

Introduction

In order to ensure quick development circles and innovation of SlideHub, we have built SlideHub using a list of modern technology components that require a relatively recent version of Microsoft 365.

Supported versions

SlideHub runs on all versions of Microsoft 365 that are enabled using Microsoft Edge (including Edge legacy) and Safari Webkit.

Where SlideHub runs

SlideHub is available in the apps below, on both Windows and Mac. The browser engine requirement above applies to the Microsoft 365 add-ins:

• PowerPoint on Windows and Mac
• Word on Windows and Mac
• Excel on Windows and Mac
• Outlook on Windows and Mac. SlideHub for Outlook is a separate add-in and has to be deployed on its own
• The web app in a modern browser, with no add-in installed

If a desktop add-in cannot be installed, for example because your organization restricts Microsoft 365 add-ins, people can work in the web app instead. See How to test SlideHub if my organization won't allow me to install it?.
