How to suggest slides to the library?
If you’ve created slides that could benefit others in your company, you may want to share them with your organization. However, it’s common for employees to be unsure about where to send materials, leading to valuable content being stored away instead of shared.
To solve this, SlideHub offers the "Suggest or add slides" feature. By using this feature, you can:
Help your organization reuse the best materials.
Save time by building high-quality slides faster.
Encourage others to share their valuable content.
Over time, this leads to a richer library of slides for everyone to access.
You can suggest slides in two ways: via the SlideHub add-in for PowerPoint or directly on the SlideHub platform.
Via the SlideHub Add-in
Open the slides in PowerPoint that you’d like to contribute.
Open the SlideHub add-in and look for the “Suggest or add slides” option in the task pane.
Choose whether to:
Add only selected slides as standalone slides
Add all slides as standalone slides
Add all slides as a presentation
Also, if you’re part of multiple libraries, select which library to submit to.
Next, during the confirmation step you can optionally:
Assign an admin to review your suggestion
Recommend slide categories based on existing categories
Add comments for the reviewer
Click “Confirm & Send” to submit your slides for review. Once submitted, a “View Suggestions” button will appear, allowing you to track your submission and add further comments if needed.
On the SlideHub platform:
Navigate to the SlideHub platform and click the “Suggestion” (folder icon) in the left-side navigation.
Click “Add Suggestions” and select the slide or presentation you want to suggest.
Just like in the add-in, if you are part of multiple teams, choose the library to submit your slides to and specify the type of suggestion (presentation or standalone slides).
(Optional) Assign an admin to review your submission.
(Optional) Add comments to provide additional context for the reviewer.
Note: If you’re suggesting a previously downloaded and modified slide, you might see a warning that the slide already exists in your library. You can either suggest it as a new slide or propose an update to the existing one.
You can have an overview of all your suggestions by clicking on "Suggestion" (folder icon) in the left-side navigation and then click "My suggestions".
Based on the status you can see whether your suggestion has been "Cancelled/Rejected", "Completed", or "Pending".
Cancelled/Rejected: The reviewer found the content not relevant enough, low quality, or not beneficial
Completed: The suggestion was approved and added to the library
Pending: The suggestion is awaiting review
You can find more details by clicking on “View”. If you wish to add comments or share additional information to the person reviewing your slides, you can do it in the new window. You can also cancel your suggestion before it is reviewed if you don't find it relevant anymore or replace the file.
If you have manager rights for a team, you can directly add your slides to the team library. To see how to upload slides to the team library read this article.
