What is the Presentation Builder and how to set it up?
Create more dynamic and engaging presentations by turning your presentations into presentation builders and utilizing variable slide groups. The Presentation Builder empowers your team to effortlessly customize presentations for each client, ensuring they receive the most relevant and impactful content. This tool can be particularly beneficial for sales teams, enabling them to tailor presentations based on specific client needs, industries, or goals, leading to more personalized and effective proposals.
Members with manager roles can apply the presentation builder to any existing presentations within the library.
1) Go to manage view and find the presentation that you would like to turn into a presentation builder
2) After selecting the presentation, simply click the 'Apply Presentation Builder' button when it appears. You can also do this within the presentation setting in the upper right corner
3) Now your presentation turned into a Presentation builder. Next click on "Edit slides" to see all the slides within the presentation and create variable groups
4) Click on "Create variable group" to add a group of slides to the presentation that end-users can pick from when they download the presentation. You can add as many variable groups as you find necessary
Variable slide groups are label-based which means all the slides within the same category, subcategory or tag will be part of the variable group. This also means that the variable group will be updated automatically every time you add or remove a slide within the specific label the variable group is based on.
5) Next, select the label you want your variable group to be based on. Then add a title to the group as well as instructions (optional) how to use it for your team
6) If you would like to you can preview the slides to ensure they are relevant and correct and if they are, just click on save
7) That's it! The variable group is now integrated into your presentation, empowering your team to effortlessly tailor content and create more personalized presentations
If you would like to turn your presentation builder into a presentation again, just click on "Convert back to presentation" button within the presentation settings. Once the presentation builder converts back to a presentation, all variable slides will be removed, keeping only the mandatory ones.
| Tip. Combine the Presentation Builder and Placeholders, to create highly customized presentations

2) Click on the downwards arrow icon to see more download options and select "Download manager version"
When opening your file in the manager version you'll see that the variable slide groups are replaced by placeholder slides. You can easily identify which variable slide groups is linked to each placeholder slide by checking the slide group name display at the top of the slide - "Title of the variable slides: xxx". To move or delete variable slide groups, simply make the changes to the placeholder slide.
3) Make the necessary changes to your presentation and click "Update" in the task pane
Your Presentation Builder is now updated in the library
