Active Directory (AD) Sync and Single Sign-On (SSO)

Active Directory (AD) Sync and Single Sign-On (SSO) let your IT and security teams control access to SlideHub from the identity systems you already run. AD Sync keeps SlideHub user accounts in step with your directory, and SSO lets people sign in with the company credentials they already have.

What is Active Directory (AD) Sync and how to set it up?

Instead of adding and removing users manually which can be very time-consuming, setting up Active Directory Sync can minimize the effort of managing access to SlideHub in the event of personnel change. User access to SlideHub will be updated automatically once the Active Directory Sync is set up, increasing the security of your company's assets. Once we have received your request, we will send you guidelines to complete the Active Directory set up. Afterwards, we will perform the synchronization when it is ready. The last step is to activate the sync in your account by going to the Security tab under Account Settings, and choose ‘Save and Sync now’.

We recommend that the IT team use the Active Directory Sync, because:

  • IT is in control
  • It is easier for the user
  • It takes few minutes setting it up
  • Instead of the users doing a lot of manual work, the IT team can generate users and permissions through the use of Active Directory Sync

What is Single Sign-On (SSO) login and how to set it up?

Note: Single Sign-On is only offered to our Growth and Enterprise customers

There are few ways to log in:

  1. Microsoft 365 account - we recommend logging in this way as it requires less effort for the users
  2. Google
  3. SSO

SSO is an identification method that enables users to log in to multiple applications and websites with one set of credentials. By enabling users to log in just once per day using a single set of credentials. the number of attach surfaces is minimized, making organization more resilient against password-related security breaches. Once it is set up, users will be able to access SlideHub library via SSO instead of typing their work email and password every time when they log in. Alternatively, if your organization already uses Microsoft 365 or Google, you can also sign in from there. If you would like to set up SSO login for your SlideHub account, please contact the Customer Success team.

Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML allows clients to leverage their internal login/identity provider

Main benefits once it is integrated:

  • Users just need to type their work email to login
  • Access to SlideHub can be managed via security groups
  • The internal password policies can be directly enforced
  • Allows to use other providers than Microsoft 365 e.g. OneLogin

Supported providers:

To provide a secure log in for our clients we partnered with WorkOS (To learn more, please go to WorkOS) for our login solutions, which helps us to provide the best UX for our clients. WorkOS publishes step by step integration guides for each supported provider, so your identity team can follow the exact steps for the provider you use. See below for more details:

Directory Sync and SSO pricing

**

The pricing for Directory Sync and Single Sign-On (SSO) is as follows:

  • Directory Sync: $75 USD per month per tenant
  • Single Sign-On (SSO): $75 USD per month

We recommend using Microsoft 365 login with Directory Sync for a smoother, more efficient integration. While other SSO providers are supported, Microsoft 365 is the most seamless option for managing user access

For IT and security reviewers, SlideHub is covered by:

  • SOC 2 Type II and Cyber Essentials
