How to Enable or Disable AI Features in SlideHub

SlideHub includes AI-powered features that admins can control at the account level. Individual access to the text-to-slides feature is managed separately at the user level.

Enable or disable AI for your account

Go to Account Settings - Security (admin access required)
Scroll down to the AI Features section
Select Enabled or Disabled
Click Save

When disabled, AI features are turned off across the entire platform for all users.

Control access to text-to-slides

Access to the AI text-to-slides feature is managed at the individual user level, not from this setting. To grant or restrict access for specific users, go to Users in the left-hand menu and adjust permissions there.

How to Set It Up AI Text-to-slides

Prerequisites

First, ensure that AI and the Text-to-Slide is enabled for your account. Once activated, you'll see the new AI Slides tab in the Slides management view.

Step 1: Choose Your Template Slides

Browse your slide library and select which designs you want to make available as AI templates. Great candidates include:

Agenda slides
Section dividers
Data visualization layouts
Title slides
Team introduction slides
Etc.

You can enable slides individually or select multiple at once for bulk activation.

Step 2: Let AI Learn Your Designs

When you enable a slide, our AI automatically scans its structure, layout, and design elements. You'll see a complexity rating (LOW / HIGH) that indicates how much content is on the slide.

Pro tip: Review the AI's analysis to ensure accuracy - this step is crucial for reliable results.

Step 3: Configure Each Template

Review the scan results: As an admin, you can check the AI's interpretation and overwrite anything that's incorrect. Getting this right ensures your team will have reliable, high-quality template options.

Test before rolling out: Use the "Test the slide" button to preview how it works in the Text-to-Slide feature. This takes you directly into the creation experience so you can see exactly what your team will see.

Avoid duplicates: If a similar slide design already exists in your library, the system will recommend using the existing version rather than creating redundant templates. (Coming soon)

What Your Team Will Experience

Once you've set everything up, your team members will see your company's slide designs as options when using Text-to-Slide. They simply input their content, select a template and the AI generates an on-brand slide in seconds.

This feature is launching soon. In the meantime, start thinking about which of your slides would make the best templates - the ones your team recreates most often or that represent your brand at its best.
